Kalki Fashion, the brand behind the iconic oatcake, has released a new version of the popular dessert.
The new version is the first to be released in a limited run of 50 pieces, which are available for sale for $60.
The original oat cake, which was popular during the 70s, was made from a blend of ingredients that included flour, cornstarch, water, milk, eggs and dried fruit.
The brand said it wanted to change things up with the new oat cakes, which will be available for a limited time on May 6 and sold for $65 each.
The “new” oaty is a blend from the original recipe and will include the egg yolk, white chocolate chips and a mix of oat flour and baking powder.
“It’s a very different way of cooking,” Kalkis co-founder and chief creative officer, J.R. Hodge, told CBC News.
“We wanted to create something that was a little bit different and that felt very different from the traditional way of making oatcakes.”
Hodge said the new design is “very elegant,” with a fresh look to it, while still maintaining the traditional taste of the oat, with buttercream, vanilla ice cream, cinnamon and sprinkles.
The packaging for the new version includes a fresh design, which also includes a print-out of the original, and an accompanying book, explaining the history of the brand.
“The brand has been around for a long time,” Hodge told CBC.

Haze said he is also looking forward to getting feedback from consumers on the new recipe.
